We have both Hot and regular yoga at the Yoga Lounge. (In consideration of your fellow hot yoga practitioners, there are no in/out privileges. If you leave the room, you cannot reenter the room until the class is finished). The studio is open 15 minutes before a class till 15 minutes after a class.

A challenging flow meant to get the heart rate up and the blood flowing, this class will coordinate movement and breath for a moving meditation. The focus will be on strengthening poses followed by long stretches to ground and centre the mind and body.

Based on the Baptiste Vinyasa sequence, power flow is challenging for all practitioners. Classes hold space for possibility and encourage all levels, from beginners to the more experienced.
5:30 – 7:00 pm Hatha with Darcie
Darcie’s goal is to make yoga accessible for everyone, regardless of flexibility, strength, weight, or age. In her classes, she invites you to slow down so you can develop greater awareness as you move through each pose. She guides you to move within your own comfortable range of motion to find ease rather than strain, fluidity instead of rigidity, and lightness in place of heaviness. Her teaching style is influenced by the Vanda Scaravelli lineage of yoga, in that she asks you to let the breath and the push-pull of the earth influence your whole body in each pose.

Carla’s classes focus on strength, alignment and breath. She is not bound by one style of yoga but rather draws inspiration from many variations. Carla’s classes are challenging and dynamic. She approaches yoga from a methodical perspective as she firmly believes it is a life long practice…so what’s the rush!

Briana offers an athletic practice through playful and innovative sequencing synchronized with the breath to build both heat and relaxation. Set your Fall/Winter routine in motion with a sense of renewal and rejuvenation in this vigorous, detoxifying class, which includes eucalyptus oil infusion to open the nasal passages and relieve stress. In this class, Marah begins and ends the practice with mindful meditation and asks that you focus on letting go of obligations, distractions and negative thoughts. Her teaching style is light and humorous with attention to alignment and connection with each and every student. Karen continues to study with senior Iyengar teacher Mahyar Raz in Toronto.
